The Agape Dinner was catered from a local Mexican restaurant. We held an auction for the cross that was made during Thursday’s Evening Vespers, and a rooster platter that was made in Italy donated Gene and Kathleen Holiman. We raised a combined total of $335 from the auction.
It was announced that during the silent cross auction, also donated from the Holimans, we were able to raise over $1300!.
Pastor G Karl was honored and thanked for his past four years of service on the secretariat. Pastor Paul Schmidlin was recognized for his 50 years of service in the ministry. Gold Coast Via de Cristo was also recognized for 50 years as a secretariate. A beautiful cake was served in their honor.
The NLS handed out two scholarships for the seminary students. Tricia Huston from North Texas and Kirsten Starr from South Carolina were given certificates for the scholarship. Scott Vannatta from Texas Gulf Coast was awarded the Circle of Servants Award. Karen Weires was awarded the Presidential Certificate of Appreciation.
